Just Organize

Organizing is not about cleaning or being tidy.
People who appear to be tidy can be disorganized and those that
appear to be fanatics about cleanliness can still be disorganized
with many things.

Organizing your life with a system that works alleviates stress, actually provides you with more time, peace and creates a calming atmosphere. The key is to find a system that works for you, your family.

So what does being organized really mean and how far do you want to take it.
Let’s start with personal possessions, knowing where your possessions are and finding them quickly is obviously a huge benefit. Things won’t get lost, saves time in not searching and provides more control of your life. Isn’t that what we all want, control of our lives?

How that happens varies from person to person. A system that is customized to you provides you with daily habits and routines. Doing things in a certain way that fits into your life provides you with the “control” you choose to have. Ultimately the decisions and choices that you make are up to you, organizing can assist you in these areas.

Emotions and your self esteem elevate when you’re organized and you’re more likely to complete projects quicker. What a great feeling when you feel in control. Setting new goals and projects are easier to manage when you feel “great”. Often our thoughts stop us from being as organized as we would like to be. One task that can be challenging is taking an inventory of your possessions, it can be like going down memory lane, actually what happens is that the project gets started and never finished.

Being organized provides you with options on using your time the way you want.
In our time starved world of family, work, schedules etc. having fun and downtime is important without feeling guilty. Organizing, you have to work with it everyday because as your life changes, so do your priorities.

It’s all about balance in our lives, finding what will work for you and your family.
Balance in doing the basic necessary stuff, to taking the time to stop and play when needed, again without the guilt.

As women, we often feel so guilty; isn’t it time to let go of less
important things and focus on what is really valuable in our lives?
While I try to be organized and manage my time, my family has
a very flexible schedule because the important things are always being taken care of.

I stop and try to remember to enjoy the journey; taking time to reflect on my goals, values and what makes me and my family happy.

That is my opinion and I hope to share with you many tips that will enrich your lives.
